There are so many fun things to do around Salt Lake City, UT over the summer, so I've rounded up a few of the top activities (fit for everyone).
👙 Tubing Provo River OR Visit Causey Reservoir to cool off
A great way to cool down in the hot summer months! I have yet to hit the Provo River, but Causey Reservoir is so fun! Note that it does get very crowded on the weekends, so be sure to get there early and carpool!
The weekly Sunday blues concerts at Snowbasin have something for everybody. A selection of brews from local breweries, hiking, biking, gondola rides and delicious BBQ that the whole family will love. Oh, and Blues Music!
⛵️ Bear Lake State Park
There’s a reason why Bear Lake is called the Caribbean of the Rockies. The turquoise blue water almost seems unreal. Rent some SUPs or a kayak, and spend a day playing in the refreshingly brisk lake.
⛰️ Hike Lakes Mary, Catherine, and Martha at Brighton
It’s hard to find more beautiful scenery than an alpine lake… but how about THREE alpine lakes. Head up to Brighton to hike this perfect loop that hits three beautiful lakes in just over three miles!
🎡Summer Fest
Taking place every year in early June, Orem’s Summerfest is a classic carnival experience. I have yet to visit, but with all of the rides and treats, this festival is the perfect family-friendly activity, ending with a spectacular firework show.
